Function Keys in MS Office, as the very name indicates, are used to perform number of functions in MS Office
. I this blog, we have tried to mention some of the functions which can be performed by using function keys alone or in combination with other keys.
Few of these combinations/ keys are very important and have been discussed in detail in table below.

turned off, pressing F2 moves the insertion point into the Formula Bar.

Print Preview window.

is used to add comment on a cell. If there is already a comment, this
combination can be used to edit the comment.

is another important key. It can be used to switch between the worksheet,
Ribbon, task pane, and zoom controls. In a worksheet which has been split any
way e.g view menu, manage this window, freeze panes or split window command,
F6 includes the split panes when switching between panes and the ribbon area.

This
is a navigational key and can be used to switch to the next workbook window
when more than one workbooks are open.

It
is used to switch between the worksheet, zoom controls, task pane, and ribbon.

This
is ideal key for proof reading. It displays the Spelling dialog box to check
spelling in the active worksheet or selected range, if so selected.

It
is another navigational key. It performs the Move command on the workbook
window when it is not maximized. Use the arrow keys to move the window, and
when finished press ENTER, or ESC to cancel.

It
is used to turns “extend mode” on or off. In extend mode, Extended Selection
appears in the status line, and the arrow keys extend the selection.

performs the size command (on the Control menu for the workbook window) when
a workbook is not maximized.

combination is used to open the “Macro” World. It Displays the Macro dialog
box to create, run, edit, or delete a macro.
